In 1987 Mulchinock’s shop was demolished – The late Brendan Cronin, organised for a commemorative plaque to be unveiled on the site – the citation simply reads – “on this site stood Mulchinocks Shop, for years the gathering place of Austin Stacks Teams, erected by Cumann Áibhistín de Staic.

John Joe ‘Purty’ Landers played with the club from the from the 1920’s to the 1940’s. He won five All Irelands with Kerry and five county football and four county hurling titles with the Stacks.
