In 1961 Michael Hayes a school teacher took 30 boys and began training them as footballers. Club juvenile football was non-existent at the time. Michael gave a helping hand to the likes of Mikey Sheehy, John O’Keefe and Ger Power to name but a few. Not a bad legacy!
